Photoshop and Illustrator for Fashion: Footwear Design

Students will learn computer skills specific to designing fashion footwear and not taught in a regular computer class, draw and fill sketches in Photoshop and Illustrator and improve their Photoshop and Illustrator skills and better understand the programs as it pertains to fashion footwear. Class will cover all of the following topics: Photoshop and illustrator basics (tools, palettes, workspace) Using basic shapes Filling sketches with color, pattern and texture Using the pen tool to draw detailed and precise sketches Adding shadow and dimension to sketches to achieve a more realistic look Creating a presentation board. . . and more!! Students receive a beginner's manual with tutorials for the class and a graphic resource CD (which includes graphic & trim libraries, sketch templates, quick reference guides and notes). Schedule up to 2 makeup sessions for any missed classes. Makeup sessions are a 2 hour maximum and are conducted online. Students can schedule the makeup session at any time up to one week after the last group class.

Photoshop Bootcamp for Fashion: Level 1

For designers (apparel, jewelry, accessories) on all levels (assistant, associate, senior) with limited or some knowledge of Photoshop. Class will cover all of the following topics: Photoshop basics (tools, palettes, workspace) Coloring & filling sketches (both hand drawn & computer generated) Adding texture, shadow & dimension to sketches Basic recoloring & creating multiple colorways Masking photoshop graphics and prints into bodies Students receive a beginner's manual with tutorials to follow during class, class notes and a graphic resource CD (which includes graphic & trim libraries, quick reference guides & notes). Students also receive a 1 hour ONLINE followup, private session with the instructor. Session MUST be scheduled within 3 months of taking class (unless other arrangements are made).
